Resident Evil 4 remake ensures it has plenty to tie it to the rest of the Resident Evil series. Luis now has a Nemesis reference that binds the game to the plot of Resident Evil 2, for example, and there's even a reference to Resident Evil 3.5 during an Ashley section later in the game.
And now we're finding out that the Resident Evil 4 remake even ties itself to the wider Resident Evil cinematic universe. As spotted by Lokk8909 (via Games Radar+), the Sentinel Nine handgun available with the Deluxe Edition of the RE4 remake is the same as the pistol Leon uses in the 2017 film, Resident Evil Vendetta.

For those who haven't seen the film, Vendetta takes place between the events of Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7, pairing Leon and Chris Redfield against an American arms dealer named Glenn Arias. Rebecca Chambers also reappears for the first time since Resident Evil 0, now a researcher dedicated to removing zombie-creating viruses from the world. She discovers the A-Virus is being distributed by Arias and then promptly gets kidnapped, leading Leon and Chris to mount a rescue operation.
As always, there's plenty of zombie-killing action in Vendetta. At one point, Leon performs some impressive gun fu on a zombie horde armed only with his pistol, which appears to be an H&K USP with an extended barrel and magazine--exactly the same as it appears in Resident Evil 4's Sentinel Nine.
You can only get the Sentinel Nine if you've purchased the Deluxe Edition of RE4 remake or if you've bought it separately as DLC. It features stats that are universally better than Leon's SG-09 R starter pistol, except for the all-important Power stat. Still, the Sentinel Nine
