Patch 5 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming soon, with Larian Studios hyping some of the changes it will include, like a fix for late-game slowdowns, performance improvements and a potential new Epilogue feature. On Twitter, the developer confirmed that the update is roughly 30 GB, but the real kicker is that it needs “approximately” 130 GB to install.
If you have the game installed already and don’t have an additional 130 GB free, you need to uninstall and re-download it when the patch is live. Considering that the current size is 124.07 GB on PC, it should be interesting to see what Larian has added.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PS5 and PC, with the Xbox Series X/S version launching next month. A release date for the latter will be announced at The Game Awards on December 7th, so stay tuned. A physical Deluxe Edition will arrive in Q1 2024, with the Xbox Series X/S version including Patch 5 on the disc.
Patch 5 is launching soon! This update will clock in at roughly 30GB and will require approximately 130GB of free space to install. If you find yourself without the space to install the update, we recommend uninstalling BG3 and then re-downloading the patched version.
