Larian Studios has deployed Baldur's Gate 3 hotfix 5 across PC and PlayStation, including PS5-specific fixes as well as numerous fixes and improvements.
Larian's Baldur's Gate hit title is out today on PlayStation 5 as well (digitally), and upon the release of the PS5 version, Larian released a hotfix for the game. One of the main fixes included with this patch is a fix that locked players out of many of Minthara’s lines of dialogue. In addition, the hotfix addresses several glitches and multiplayer issues. Interesting to note is that the patch also aims to fix a memory leak when creating and destroying many objects. This should result in somewhat better performance. As for the PS5-specific fixes, the hotfix addresses an issue that caused the game's audio to stop working on Sony's console. Also, it addresses a crash when opening the onscreen keyboard, and a graphical HDR issue when the HDR black level calibration is set to '0'.
"Minthara lovers, your ship has come in", the development team writes. "This hotfix takes care of a bug that blocked access to some of Minthara’s lines of dialogue, including some hot takes from your companions about your decision to date the ruthless Oath of Vengeance Paladin."
"If approval is high enough, your romance with Minthara will progress in Act 3. This unlocks several new dialogues allowing you to explore and deepen the relationship, and discover more details of Minthara's backstory. Alongside many lines of interactive dialogue, many more non-interactive voiced lines are available with Minthara as a romantic partner."
