HoYoverse will release itsspace fantasy RPG, Honkai: Star Rail , on PlayStation 5 on October 11th. The announcement was made at the latest State of Play showcase and came with a new trailer, new feature previews, and more on what the cross-platform PlayStation 5 release means.
The new trailer features narration by Kafka, the Stellaron Hunter, and details lore and the newSimulated Universe: Swarm Disaster. It also offers a peek at a new enemy, Swarm: True Sting, which is known for diving and conquering its enemies. It will also spawn additional swarms to complicate the battle unless you take it down strategically to avoid the battlefield being, well, swarmed.
The team also highlighted what makes the PlayStation 5 version different. The capabilities of the PS5 mean that HoYoverse is able to push the boundaries of its game and offer enhanced visuals and audio and performance. You'll notice the difference the most if you originally play on mobile, but the PlayStation 5 version is designed to offer a seamless experience.
The console release will also offer cross-platform play and cross progression, so you can go from playing on the go to playing at home with ease.
