Overnight, as promised, Larian Studios rolled out Baldur's Gate 3 hotfix 4. This patch, however, has now been rolled back due to unexpected issues.
Yesterday, the Belgian studio provided a short update roadmap for its latest hit title, confirming that hotfix #4 will be released before the game's first official patch. Fast forward a couple of hours, and Larian released the fourth hotfix, packing fixes for crashes, bugs, flow issues, and some issues with companions trying to sleep in.
The full release notes for hotfix #4 can be found here. Unfortunately, after deploying this patch, players encountered crashing issues, and as such, the hotfix has been temporarily rolled back while the team is looking into the cause of these issues. Meanwhile, Baldur's Gate has been reverted to hotfix #3.
"Due to a build error causing new crashes, we’ve rolled back Hotfix 4 for the time being", Larian explained on Twitter. "We'll re-release it as soon as we’ve fixed the cause."

To clarify, we’ve rolled back to hotfix 3, so you can keep playing! You just won't be able to load saves from today’s hotfix 4 until it’s pushed live again. Apologies.
