Baldur's Gate 3 is a pretty chunky game, with players spending up to over 100 hours just to see everything that the world has to offer. That's why it can be difficult to comprehend that developer Larian Studios actually cut a lot of stuff from the final product, some of it just mere weeks before the game's full release earlier this month. Thankfully, one committed fan has put it all together for us so we can easily see what could've been.
First shared to the Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit, a fan called u/Vasgorath has put together a full list of cut content that has been confirmed via either interviews with developers or gathered by dataminers. The result is a whopping collection of features, a lot them being substantial bits of gameplay that would've completely transformed the way we currently play Baldur's Gate 3. This includes everything from entire explorable areas to missing romance options.

We'll start with the biggest one and that's The Upper City, a huge area that was cut from the final game just a couple of weeks before launch that would've been completely explorable. This was revealed by Larian co-founder Swen Vincke, but dataminers also recently discovered that this location would've been crucial for an ending to Karlach's storyline.
