Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 has added eight new cast members.
The first season of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, which was developed by Albert Kim, was released on Netflix in February 2024. An adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the series was renewed for a second and third season in March 2024.
Per Variety, the second season of Avatar: The Last Airbender has just added eight new cast members.
The new cast members who are joining Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 include Chin Han (Mortal Kombat) as Long Feng, Hoa Xuande (The Sympathizer) as Professor Zei, Justin Chien (The Brothers Sun) as King Kuei, Amanda Zhou (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Joo Dee, Crystal Yu (Good Omens) as Lady Beifong/Toph’s mother, Kelemete Misipeka (Ray Donovan) as The Boulder, Lourdes Faberes (The Sandman) as General Sung, and Rekha Sharma (Yellowjackets) as a new character named Amita.
It was previously announced that Miya Cech’s Toph Beifong will be introduced in Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2.
The cast of the series also includes Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, and Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai.
Jabbar Raisani and Christine Boylan serve as executive producers and showrunners on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Kim also serves as an executive producer alongside Dan Lin, Ryan Halprin, and Brendan Ferguson.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 is currently in production, though a release date has not yet been set. The first season of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender is currently streaming on Netflix, while all three seasons of the animated series can be watched on Paramount+.
