Aromajoin has unveiled its scent-based devices, the Aroma Shooter Wearable and Aroma Speaker 60, for extended reality (XR) experiences.
These scent-emitting devices promise to bring more immersion to XR experiences by synchronously releasing scents corresponding to virtual scenarios, engaging users’ olfactory senses.
Powered by Kyoto, Japan-based Aromajoin’s patented Aroma Shooter technology, the devices offer seamless scent-switching capabilities without any residual effect.
The Aroma Shooter Wearable is a neck-worn device specifically designed for use with XR content, enhancing the sensory experience.
Meanwhile, the Aroma Speaker 60 has a library of 60 basic scents, enabling the expression of a wide range of aromas. This make-to-order device allows customization in colors, materials, and cartridges, offering an extensive variety of products.
The devices are compatible with PCs, smartphones, virtual reality and augmented reality, as well as more devices via Bluetooth connectivity. These devices aim to elevate the immersion levels in virtual environments.
Aromajoin’s aim is to bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds by expanding the scent collection, which currently includes hundreds of scents, from chocolate to orange to shampoo, to enrich virtual experiences further.
The Aromajoin exhibit can be experienced at CES 2024 in the Japan Pavilion at Eureka Park #62801 from January 9 to January 12. Additionally, the company will showcase its products at ShowStoppers on January 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Bellagio Hotel, Grand Ballroom.
