Players wilI watch over a group of children who live at the top of the eponymous Tower, helping them survive and grow as warriors while searching for a way to the elusive Paradise. is the debut game from Tasto Alpha, an indie developer headed by Tom Ikeda — who previously worked on titles like — in partnership with SHUEISHA GAMES, a new division of the Japanese manga publisher SHUEISHA.
The general game loop of revolves around the titular Tower and the children that inhabit the top of it. The Tower begins with five child residents, each of which consume bread each day. isn't a survival game like that center around base building, instead revolving around the player's ability to keep the children fed — if bread runs out, it's game over. As the days go by, players can build affinity with the children through conversation, as well as baptize each one as warriors to allow them to embark on Tower runs.

There are three types of warriors in: the melee-focused swordsman, the magic-wielding mage, and the debuff-centric diviner. Each child will come with their own starting deck depending on class, as well as their own strength, magic, and agility stats and passive abilities. During runs through The Tower, players can rescue other lost children and add them to the commune, which will diversify combat abilities while also consuming more bread.
