A third trailer for the upcoming MAPPA adaptation of Yūji Kaku's Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku manga was released on the official Crunchyroll YouTube this past Friday, revealing two major bits of information related to the series. The first is the official April premiere date; while the second part of the trailer's release revealed the opening theme for Hell's Paradise.
Initially revealed in December 2022, Hell's Paradise is anticipated as a MAPPA project, and will be the second of three major releases from the animation studio in 2023, the others being the recently-released first half of Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3; as well as the upcoming second season of JUJUTSU KAISEN. Hell's Paradise is set to premiere on April Fool's Day.
Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku — What You Need to Know Before Watching the Anime
The new trailer acts as a promotional trailer for the upcoming series, while also revealing the opening theme song titled «WORK» performed by singer Ringo Sheena and Millennium Parade. Hell's Paradise is set to premiere on April 1, at 11:00 JST on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, while Amazon Prime Video, Hikari TV and Netflix will be streaming the series in Japan.
Crunchyroll is set to stream Hell's Paradise in Africa, America, Australia, Europe, New Zealand; while Netflix will be making it available for viewers in Asian-Pacific countries excluding the aforementioned Australia and New Zealand; as well as China. As previously mentioned, Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku will be produced by staff at MAPPA, with Kaori Makita as the series director; Akira Kindaichi in charge of the script; music by Yoshiaki Dewa; character designs by Akitsugu Hisagi, with photography by Hyo Gyu Park.
