New Lord of the Rings Gollum gameplay footage has been released.
Viewable below in the game’s new story trailer, the footage premiered during a Nacon Direct presentation on Thursday.
Taking place in parallel to the events described in The Fellowship of the Ring, Gollum is a story-driven action RPG in which players embark on a quest to retrieve the One Ring.
It has an original story that takes players to several regions of Middle-earth and features familiar faces from J.R.R. Tolkien’s books.

Revealed in 2019 and originally scheduled for release in 2021, the game has been delayed on several occasions.
Last May, it was announced that Gollum would be released in September 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch version to follow later in the year.
The first gameplay trailer arrived last June, but the following month co-publishers Nacon and Daedalic Entertainment said the game had been delayed by “a few months”.
In January, Nacon released a financial report which said the game was scheduled for release during the six months ending in September 2023.
