After announcing the shutdown of its online version, Animal Crossing has dropped some great news today. Remember that Nintendo was planning to drop a paid offline version of the game? They’ve now announced the release date. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, the new offline version is set to hit Android on December 3rd.
The current free-to-play Pocket Camp will officially shut down on November 29th. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, the offline version, will be like a reimagined version of the game. It’s a one-time purchase. It’s priced at $9.99 if you grab it before January 31st, 2025. Post that, it goes to $19.99.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will be a complete pack, as the name suggests. That’s years of seasonal items, events and anything else that Pocket Camp has racked up since it dropped in 2017. You’ll still be setting up your dream campsite, choosing from 10,000+ items.
Yes, you can now create your own Camper Cards. It’s basically your personal trading card to show off your style. Choose a pose, pick a colour and you’re set. You can even exchange cards with other players! On that note, check out the latest trailer here.
And there’s a new hangout spot called Whistle Pass. A place where all your Camper Card buddies gather around, complete with guitar jams under the stars. Speaking of hangout spots, Nintendo has made it possible to transfer your old Pocket Camp save data into the new version. You have until June 2nd, 2025 to do it.
Even though Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will be an offline game, Nintendo mentioned that it’ll need occasional internet checks to verify things like time and account info. Also, Nintendo is keeping all the seasonal events, from Halloween spookiness to summer festivals.
