Apple TV+ has finally announced the release date for its newest drama series, starring Mad Men alum Jon Hamm as a hedge fund manager who decides to steal from the rich in order to keep his family’s lifestyle afloat.
In addition, the upcoming show has also been officially granted an early Season 2 renewal ahead of its debut. Production on the next installment is expected to begin in Spring 2025.
“After being fired in disgrace, Andrew ‘Coop’ Cooper, a hedge fund manager still grappling with his recent divorce, resorts to stealing from the homes of his neighbors in the exceedingly affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets and affairs hidden behind those wealthy facades might be more dangerous than he ever imagined,” reads the logline.
Your Friends & Neighbors is scheduled to make its debut on April 11, 2025 with the first two episodes, exclusively on Apple TV+. Joining Hamm are Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Aimee Carrero, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Hoon Lee, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt and Donovan Colan.
The series hails from creator Jonathan Tropper, who will also be set as the showrunner. This serves as Tropper’s latest collaboration with Apple TV+ after previously working together on the Jason Momoa-led action epic See. It is executive produced by Hamm, Tropper, and Connie Tavel, with Craig Gillespie, Stephanie Laing, Greg Yaitanes and Tropper directing.
“I’ve had this show in my head for years, and making it has been a dream come true,” Tropper said in a statement (via Deadline). “It’s been an absolute thrill partnering with Hamm, along with Connie Tavel and Craig Gillespie, to bring it to life. The support from everyone at Apple has been phenomenal, and the fact that they’ve ordered a second season before we aired our first is an incredible validation and a tribute to the work of this stellar cast, crew, writers, directors and producers who worked so hard to make this show what it is. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
