Apple has announced the App Store’s most popular games of 2024
Apple has announced the most downloaded games of the year across iPhone, iPad and Apple Arcade.
Its download charts for 2024 have been localised for players in over 30 countries, but below you’ll find the US rankings for free and paid games on iPhone and iPad, plus the most popular games available on its Arcade subscription service.
Apple said Block Blast was the top free iPhone game, ahead of Monopoly Go and Roblox. On iPad, the most downloaded free games were Roblox, Magic Tiles 3: Piano Game and Monopoly Go.
Minecraft was the most popular paid game on both iPhone and iPad, while NBA 2K24 led the Apple Arcade download chart.

Apple recently announced the games coming to Apple Arcade in December and January, including four Square Enix RPGs.
It has been claimed that Apple is planning to release a thinner iPhone model in 2025, and is pushing to launch a foldable version of its flagship device in 2026.
