On First We Feast’s Hot Ones Versus, Lee Byung-Hun addressed fan theories, including whether Gi-Hun is the son of Oh Il-nam and if the Front Man could be posing as an undercover cop. The South Korean actor came across another postulation that suggested that the Squid Game island could actually be a moving ship.
According to the rules of the Hot Ones Versus show, interviewees have the option to either answer the question correctly or consume the super spicy hot wings presented to them. Upon hearing the three theories, Byung-hun replied, “Honestly, none were correct.”
However, Jung-jae instantly countered his co-star’s response by saying, “Then eat.” He then added, “You essentially refused to answer,” suggesting that Byung-hun did not answer the fan questions honestly. The Front Man actor then confirmed his play about hiding facts about Squid Game Season 3 by stating, “So that means that I have to spoil the ending to Season 3 right here? I mean, if that’s what you want, I’ll choose to do that instead.”
Byung-hun ultimately turned the conversation on its head by saying, “The ending for Season 3 is… Front Man will… to your character… will take off his mask and say… I’m your father,” jokingly referring to Darth Vader’s iconic line from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
