The Pyro Traveler’s gameplay kit in 5.3 has fully leaked, and it confirms the previous theories and speculation that Xiangling’s reign as a Pyro sub-DPS would end with their arrival. The Pyro Traveler is the first form of the main character to not unlock upon entrance into a new region in HoYoverse’s action RPG. Instead, it is rumored that the Traveler will unlock their Pyro-aligned powers through the story arc set in Natlan, as they are listed among the leaked new characters in 5.3, alongside the Pyro Archon Mavuika, Citlali, and a Liyue unit called Lanyan.
HoYoverse has not officially announced the Pyro Traveler as a new playable unit, but it is expected they will unlock their powers soon. The previous leaks indicated that the protagonist would gain off-field Pyro abilities, making them a useful sub-DPS unit for a variety of team comps. At the moment, Xiangling is the best option for this role, even if there are other options, such as the 5-star Dehya. Now, new Pyro Traveler leaks in 5.3 detail their entire gameplay kit and abilities, showing why they have the potential to surpass Xiangling after four years on the throne.
The Pyro Traveler’s gameplay kit has allegedly leaked, giving players some insight into how they will operate in team comps and how they should be rotated during combat. The leaked information was shared in a post tagged as “” on Reddit, and it describes their active abilities, as well as their passive Talents. The leak shows the Pyro Traveler has two versions of their Elemental Skill. The tap version sees them enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and summon a Blazing Threshold, which follows the active character and deals Nightsoul-aligned Pyro DMG to nearby enemies in at fixed intervals.
New leaks about Citlali’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.3 have leaked, indicating she could actually be a usable Cryo shielder in the game.
The hold version of the Skill also puts them in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, but it summons a Scorching Threshold.
