Last month, reports surfaced online that Apple is moving its iPhone 14 production outside China and will be manufacturing the units in India soon after the global launch. Now, ahead of the September 7 Apple event to unveil the iPhone 14 series, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo comes with a new claim for the production of next year's flagship lineup- the iPhone 15. However, the latest claims via Kuo mention that it will go under the manufacturing process in India two weeks before the prediction.
"My latest survey indicates Foxconn's iPhone production site in India will ship the new 6.1-inch iPhone 14 almost simultaneously with China for the first time in the second half of 2022 (India being one quarter or more behind in the past)," Kuo further said. He further suggested that India's iPhone shipments still have a considerable gap with China. However, the latest development is an important milestone for Apple toward a non-Chinese iPhone production site.
Apple analyst hints that “it implies that Apple is trying to reduce the geopolitical impacts on supply and sees the Indian market as the next key growth driver.” Apple started the manufacturing of the iPhone in India back in 2017
