iPhone 14 is just a week away from launch and everything about it from cameras, specs, features to design, has supposedly been leaked. Various sources have revealed information about its display, battery, chip and more. Although these have been unconfirmed reports, it has increased the anticipation for the iPhone 14 launch. Now, another tipster has suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro's camera is set to receive a massive upgrade.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is expected to upgrade the ultrawide camera in the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max with a new voice coil motor. The voice coil motor controls and shifts the autofocus in the camera.
Kuo has also revealed that the Pro models will get a larger sensor along with bigger pixels. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max's camera will have 1.4 micrometer pixels compared to the 1.0 micrometer pixels in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Although this change may seem small, the bigger pixel count will allow more light to be captured by the sensor, improving night and low-light photography massively.
Previous reports have suggested that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max's camera is set to receive substantial upgrades in the megapixel count. Leaks reveal that the camera is set to be upgraded from 12MP to a massive 48MP.
The Pro models of the iPhone 14 are also expected to get a new notch design, new displays, better cameras and a faster processor than the standard iPhone 14. With Apple's “Far Out” event scheduled for September 7, it will be interesting to see how much of the leaks and rumours do actually come true. Until then, we can only wait.
