In a nearly hour and half long event, Apple finally announced its next flagship, the iPhone 14 series at its “Far Out” Event held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, California. 14 The Cupertino-based tech giant has announced four models in its latest iPhone 14 series – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple also announced other products such as the Apple Watch 8, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Pro and Airpods Pro 2. However, it was the iPhone 14 which garnered all the limelight.
Apple used the term “Plus” for standard iPhones in a bigger size till 2017, when it launched the iPhone 8 Plus. Although the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max carry over the same form factor as their counterparts from last year, the iPhone 14 Plus, also known as the iPhone 14 Max, is the new addition that has replaced the outgoing iPhone 13 Mini. But what is the difference between iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus?
The iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus have the same identical design. Both iPhones are powered by the same processor and have the same internals, except for a few differences. The iPhone 14 Plus has a bigger 6.7-inch Super XDR OLED display with a peak brightness of 1200 nits. This larger display is especially great for people who love to watch movies on the go. The larger display also allows the iPhone 14 Plus to display more text on the screen.
Although it is powered by the same A15 Bionic processor as the iPhone 14, Apple claims it has the best battery life of any iPhone ever, stealing the mantle from last year's iPhone 13 Pro Max.
