It's been just two weeks since Apple launched its latest flagship, the iPhone 14 series and rumours about next year's iPhone 15 have already started popping up. The iPhone 14 series was highly anticipated with rumours of Apple changing the notch design and it did not disappoint. Apple swapped the traditional notch in the iPhone 14 Pro models for a new “Dynamic Island” notch design, featuring a pill shaped notch with a punch hole camera cutout.
Apple also improved the cameras by adding a new 48MP primary sensor instead of the 12MP sensor. The iPhone 14 Pro models have received even more special treatment as they are powered by the latest A16 Bionic chipset while the standard iPhone 14 and the new iPhone 14 Plus continue to be powered by an improved version of last year's A15 Bionic chipset. According to LeaksApplePro, Apple is all set to change the naming strategy for the Pro iPhones, dropping the iPhone 14 Pro Max name and replacing it with iPhone 15 “Ultra” to match the naming philosophy with its newly launched Apple Watch Ultra. The leakster also reported that Apple is already working on 8K recording and it could debut with next year's iPhones.
Other rumours also indicate that Apple is working on extending the battery life of the next iPhone series by 3-4 hours and could finally ditch the Lightning Port in favour of the USB-C port. Just like this year's iPhone models, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could be powered by the A16 Bionic while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra could feature the A17 Bionic.
