Classes are clearly geared toward specific playstyles, and changing to a new one will almost assuredly result in some variation, but even subclasses from the same class can drastically change how the game unfolds. One of the lesser played classes, according to a Community Update from Larian Studios on the official site, is cleric, and for those wanting to try something new, War Domain is a great place to start. War Domain clerics get proficiency with all simple and martial weapons, as well as all armor and shields, really opening up equipment choices to keep the character in the fight. The two key features of a War Domain Cleric are War Priest at level one and War God's Blessing at level six.
War Priest allows the cleric to make an additional attack as a bonus action by expending War Priest Charges.
