Moon Knight's May Calamawy Reacts to Fan Support For MCU Show
May Calamawy, who plays Layla in Moon Knight, took to social media to express her gratitude for fans’ support for the Marvel Cinematic Universe show. Marvel Studios’ latest series on Disney+ follows Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant, the National Art Galley’s humble “gift shoppist” who believes himself to be a sleepwalker. In reality, Steven has dissociative identity disorder (DID) and his alters include Marc Spector—a mercenary who made a life-saving deal with the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu (voiced by F. Murray Abraham). In addition to Isaac, Moon Knight stars Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, the late Gaspard Ulliel as Anton Mogart, and Calamawy as Layla El-Faouly.
