Moon Knight has officially been Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the second MCU Disney+ show to earn the designation. The series, which is the latest live-action show from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, premiered the first of its six episodes on Disney+ on March 30, 2022. The show stars Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant, a shy British clerk who works at a museum gift shop. Over the course of the first episode, he discovers that he has dissociative identity disorder and enters a power struggle with his other primary personality, the American mercenary Marc Spector, who is channeling the powers of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu (F. Murray Abraham) to become the caped crusader Moon Knight.
The premiere of Moon Knight left a lot of mysteries that still need to be unraveled, but it did introduce the main villain of the series, the sinister cult leader Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke). Harrow worships the goddess Ammit and has no compunction about sucking the life out of his followers using his supernatural tattoo, depicting a scale that balances the goodness of a person's soul, both in the past and in the future. Although they haven't been shown onscreen yet, the series will also feature May Calamawy as Marc's former companion Layla El-Faouly and the late Gaspard Ulliel as Midnight Man.
