Moon Knightdirector Mohamed Diab explains the process that went into making Oscar Isaac's two suits and deciding which character would inhabit them. Marvel's latest Disney+ series is officially underway, and much like the studio's previous streaming efforts, it has already ignited a fervent online conversation. Moon Knight centers on Steven Grant (Isaac), a kind and unassuming gift shop employee whose life has been disrupted by strange occurrences he can't explain. The series premiere, which debuted on Disney+ last week, finds Steven thrust into an action-packed mission in the Alps — which baffles him because he went to sleep in London.
In actuality, Steven is one of the alters for Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder. Marc is a servant of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, who has imbued Marc with special powers so he can carry out missions in the god's name. The title Moon Knight refers to Marc's heroic alter ego, who wears a striking white suit. Episode 1 offered only a quick glimpse of Moon Knight, and future episodes will also reveal another persona known as Mr. Knight.

A lot of thought went into the development of both the Moon Knight and the Mr. Knight costumes, as Diab revealed in a recent interview with Collider. The initial plan was to give the Moon Knight suit to Steven, and the Mr. Knight outfit would be Marc's. However, Diab explained that eventually changed after some consideration. He also detailed a bit of the making-of process for the various looks. Diab said:
