Zelda fans think that the latest trailer for Tears of the Kingdom confirmed that Prince Sidon has taken over as King of the Zoras, replacing his father, Dorephan.
We're just one month away from Tears of the Kingdom and Nintendo marked that occasion earlier today by sharing the final trailer for the game, which gave us a look at Ganondorf, what appears to be dungeons, and a ton of different gameplay mechanics that show just how different this adventure will be from Breath of the Wild.

The gameplay features might have been the highlight of the trailer, but there were also some neat hints at what Tears of the Kingdom's story will be all about and how its characters have changed since the last game. Take Prince Sidon for example, who is seen at several points throughout the trailer, both within cutscenes and fighting alongside Link in several gameplay sequences. As spotted by Twitter user ArtsyJazz, it appears that Sidon is no longer a prince, and is now the king of the Zoras.
The evidence behind this is pretty simple - Sidon is now wearing the crown that we saw his father, Dorephan, wear during Breath of the Wild. There's really no other reason that Sidon would be wearing the crown unless he's been made king, so it's a pretty solid theory. Sidon is also noticeably more serious in the trailer and looks to be a little bit older, supporting the theory further.
It seems pretty set in stone that Sidon is now king, but the situation does still raise some interesting questions about Tears of the Kingdom. For starters, how much time has passed in between Breath of the Wild and the sequel? Zelda's shorter haircut implied there was a bit of a time difference,
