Zaralek Cavern is the newest zone players will explore in Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion. An enormous cave system hidden underneath the Dragon Isles, Zaralek Cavern served as a laboratory in which Neltharion conducted twisted experiments and the place in which the Earth-Warder first communed with the Old Gods, starting the path that would eventually lead him to become Deathwing.

Zaralek Cavern is also home to several creatures: the mole people known as Niffen, the Glimerogg Drogbar, as well as serving as home for the elders of the Djaradin race of dragon hunters. Zaralek Caverns is divided between three biomes: crystalline caverns of lofty formations of stalagmites and stalactites, sulfur pools which serve as the dumping grounds for Neltharion's failed experiments, and twisted spires of volcanic lava floes which the Djaradin Elders call their home.
