Season of Discovery Phase 2 is now open in World of Warcraft Classic, opening up levels 25-40, more talent points, a new raid dungeon, and more to discover.
With how quickly everyone discovered all the runes and secrets in Phase 1, it’s likely just a matter of time before everything is uncovered. Hair for even more new runes and Rune ability updates.
Those who didn’t participate in Phase 1 or who never leveled up completely can catch up and participate in the full Phase 2 with the help of a special progression bonus. Those between levels 1-25 will get a +50% XP boost and an experience bonus inside the Blackfathom Deeps raid dungeon on clear.
If you‘re jumping in, once you hit level 40, there is Gnomeregan, a 10-person raid dungeon with dis bosses to defeat. There is one entirely new boss and all of the previous five bosses have been redesigned to add challenge. The dungeon also introduces a brand new world buff. there are also some changes to the boss areas within the dungeon to add more of that challenge to overcome and to become familiar with in a new way. In Grubbis, for instance, there may be some new radiation vents. Crowd Pummeler 9-60 is in a new part of the dungeon in a new setting.
In addition to new mechanics and boss changes, of course, there is new loot,including class sets. There’s also a profession quest chain you can earn some new crafting materials from. More loot adjustments include some surprises and adjustments that pay homage to the original dungeon. There are also armor piece token drops that you can use in order to get set pieces that you're missing.
PVP has a few highlights, including better matchmaking that takes into account group size. There's a brand new PVP event, “The Blood Moon” in Stranglethorn Vale.
