World of Warcraft recently confirmed that Dracthyr will be able to choose other classes in The War Within. While it likely won’t be right at launch, World of Warcraft fans can expect the race from Dragonflight to open up somewhere near the start of the expansion.
Dracthyr is currently the newest World of Warcraft race, added in Dragonflight. These shape-shifting creatures can currently only play Evoker – a dragon-themed class that can DPS and heal using the powers of the five dragonflights. Druid, Paladin, and Shaman would all require new assets, so access to these classes could go either way. They almost certainly won’t be able to be Demon Hunters, and Death Knights may require some explanation, but most other classes will definitely be available – especially considering the World of Warcraft race already has voice lines for many of them.
