Owlcat Games have released Void Shadows, the first DLC for Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, the studio’s CRPG set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K universe. A new trailer is out to mark the occasion.
Void Shadows was originally set to release in August, but was delayed in mid July to September 24 due to a desire from the development team to apply some additional polish to the content. This DLC is the first of two planned DLC additions included in the Rogue Trader Season Pass (or purchasable separately).
Void Shadows adds around 15 hours of new content to Rogue Trader, new equipment, and even a new romanceable companion named Kibellah. Kibellah is an assassin and member of the Death Cult, a group who display their devotion to the Emperor through violence and death.
In the DLC, players will delve deep into the depths of their voidship in an effort to deal with the Genestealer Cult that is altering the code of the players’s crew and converting them over to their side with the goal of destroying the von Valancius dynasty from within. The new story content is also fully integrated into the game’s main storyline.
Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
