In Triangle Strategy, players can both upgrade and level their characters. In order to have a team of the best Triangle Strategy units leveled up, players will most likely need to know what the maximum level for their characters are.
In order for units to level in Triangle Strategy, players will need to use them in battle. Each time a character completes an attack, special move, or uses an item, they will gain XP. Once enough XP is earned, the unit will reach the next level. This means that characters used in combat the most will often level more than those who are not. Sadly, this also means that it will be difficult to catch a unit up if they fall behind, unless players take on some mock battles in Triangle Strategy's encampment.

Upgrading in this Tactics-like game is different from leveling. Upgrading a unit changes their class, adds new moves, and raises stats. Players can upgrade their units in Triangle Strategy by collecting Medals of Bravery and Medals of Valor.
Going from Recruit to Veteran requires one Medal of Bravery as long as the unit is level 10 or higher. In order to level from Veteran to Elite unit, they need to be level 20 and need one Medal of Valor.
The top upgrade a Triangle Strategy character can hit is the Elite unit, and the highest possible level a unit can reach is level 50.
