Summer Game Fest 2023 kicked off with an exciting new trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This is a surprising and unexpected new game in the Prince of Persia series, developed by Ubisoft. From cinematics to gameplay, it has a cartoonish art-style and includes fast-paced combat. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a side-scrolling 3D action adventure game coming to all consoles.
The very first trailer at Summer Game Fest 2023 started with an exciting surprise of a game. While Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still in the works, it seems that we’ll be getting a new game in the franchise very soon. Ubisoft is also working on this Prince of Persia title, and it resembles the visuals from their other game Immortals: Fenyx Rising.
Although there seems to be cinematic cutscenes, there was a lot of gameplay to see throughout the trailer. This 3D side-scrolling game will jump between parkouring platforming and sword-fighting combat. The fighting seems to have some hack-and-slash elements, with lots of flashy movements.

Sadly, it seems as though Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown leaked accidentally a few minutes before Summer Game Fest, but it didn’t take away from the exciting announcement. A Reddit user noticed that the soundtrack went on YouTube early, but was soon delisted. Not many people took notice of this though, so the announcement was still surprising.
Apart from seeing some interesting cutscenes between the hero and the plethora of enemies he faced, we don’t know much about what the story will be.
