At the Xbox Showcase, developer Don't Nod revealed its new action-puzzle climbing game with meditative vibes, Jusant. This was a short trailer that showed off the protagonist scaling rocky mountains, crashed spaceships, and other hazardous terrains while accompanied by a little gooey friend in his backpack. Jusant is currently scheduled for a Fall 2023 release, and will be released day on Xbox Game Pass.
Don't Nod says that you'll be able to play Jusant at your own pace, and that as you climb across the various biomes in the game, you'll be accompanied by a peaceful and atmospheric soundtrack. As for the actual art of climbing, you'll need to master the tools necessary to make your ascent as you explore different paths and unravel the secrets of a bygone civilization.
You'll need to keep an eye on your stamina meter to work your way up a mysterious and changing tower, but as you climb higher and hone your skills, you'll eventually discover more about the land and the civilization that once existed here.
The Xbox Showcase had several other big announcements, including a new look at Fable and a giant Richard Ayoade, a release date for the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty, and a gameplay trailer for Obsidian Entertainment's Avowed.
