During Bethesda's extensive Starfield Direct, the developer of this next big RPG detailed how you can making your character in this massive galaxy feel distinct, and what tools you'll have at your disposal to craft the type of experience you want to play.
Bethesda role-playing games have always had some element of character creation, with Fallout 4 most recently implementing a novel mechanic that combined attributes from your created parents to ultimately render your character's look. In Starfield, Bethesda says it has made the most detailed character creator yet, with a variety of options and sliders letting you dial in the perfect look for your space-faring adventurer.

In addition to your look, the character creator will let you define a backstory that will ultimately influence character interactions throughout the world. The options on show look equally in-depth, with large paragraphs of lore filling in all the blanks and answering any questions you might want to be able to rely during your journey across space.
Defining a character is only one part of a role-playing game.
