Summer Game Fest 2023 is finally here, and Geoff Keighley's show is kicking off a full week of reveals and updates on brand new and previously-announced games. In the past, we've seen games like The Last of Us Part 1 and Marvel's Midnight Suns, so some AAA games can definitely appear at any moment.

Summer Game Fest kicked off with a surprise: A brand new Prince of Persia game is coming out early next year. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is coming to PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 18, 2024. The game is a brand new sidescrolling action platformer with a vibrant art style.
Mortal Kombat 1 is out later this year, and we got a new look at gameplay for the next entry in the long-running series. We saw the new assist mechanic in action, where fighters can call in help from other Mortal Kombat characters in the middle of battle. And we saw a couple of fatalities, including a close-up shot of someone's rib cage, and someone getting their heart ripped out of their chest. So yeah, it's Mortal Kombat!
We got a new look at Path of Exile 2, the upcoming isometric action RPG. The gameplay snippet we got was pretty short, showing a mage character ripping through monsters with electric magic. The end of the trailer teased that we will find out more on July 28.
Capcom pulled a nice bait-and-switch on us with this one, as Geoff Keighley originally introduced it as a follow-up announcement to Street Fighter 2. Instead, it turned out to be Capcom Collab 1 for
