Summer Game Fest 2023’s kick-off show is taking place on Thursday and you’ll be able to watch it live here.
Promising world premieres, live gameplay demos and announcements, the two-hour show will take place in front of an audience at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.
Starting at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST, the event will be viewable live on major streaming sites such as YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, TikTok and Steam, including via the YouTube video embedded at the top of this page.
Summer Game Fest host and producer Geoff Keighley has teased plans for several high-profile announcements at this year’s show.
It will also feature the first Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay with NetherRealm’s Ed Boon, a look at Alan Wake 2 gameplay with Remedy’s Sam Lake, and the first look at Fortnite’s upcoming season, Wilds.
On the format of this year’s live show, Keighley has said: “Whereas The Game Awards is very much straight trailer, trailer, trailer, announcement, announcement, announcement, I think Summer Game Fest has a chance to talk to the developers and showcase games and give a little bit more context around games. We’re not giving out awards in the show. It really is just kind of a showcase of games.”
Keighley appeared on the latest episode of VGC: A Video Game Podcast to discuss what goes into building Summer Game Fest.
