The long-anticipated day draws ever nearer as the release of Baldur's Gate 3, master-crafted by the wizards over at Larian Studios, looms on the horizon, launching on 31st August on PS5. We got a new trailer at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, showcasing iconic antagonist Jason Isaacs in his role as Lord Enver Gortash.
Perhaps best known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series of films, Isaacs is an instantly recognizable presence that brings an impressive gravitas. He played bombastic, scenery-chewing General Zhukov in The Death of Stalin and, in his most criminally underrated role, embodied pure malevolence in The Patriot as the sadistic Colonel Tavington.
Baldur's Gate 3 has been in Early Access on Steam for years, with only part of the epic turn-based CRPG playable so far. It's shaping up to be something truly special and worthy of bearing the legendary name of some of the most groundbreaking roleplaying games ever made. Will you be gathering your party and setting forth on PS5?
