TMNT vs. Street Fighter Comic Series Gets Plot Details & Images
The are set for another crossover, this time with the world of Capcom’s Street Fighter fighting game, as IDW recently unveiled a new comic series titled vs. set to release in May.
The new crossover series will span five issues, and be written by Paul Allor, with art by Ariel Medel and colors by Sarah Myer. In typical comics fashion, the series will also receive multiple variant covers for its five issues, with covers from Medel, co-creator Kevin Eastman, and also retailer incentive editions from Vincenzo Federici planned. The first issue is planned for a May release, but no concrete release date is set.

“It feels amazing to bring these iconic brands together,” said Allor in a statement on the release. “I grew up with all these characters, though in very different ways—watching cartoons on Saturday mornings, and then a few years later, desperately smashing buttons while being absolutely destroyed at. Readers are going to have so much fun watching these characters come together as they face an enormous threat to both teams, from Mikey and Chun-Li’s unlikely bond to Raph and Guile’s rivalry and mutual—but very grudging—respect. This book has it all: humor, danger, a massive number of twists and turns, and a ton of amazing, brutal, over-the-top, bonkers fight scenes! It’s gonna be a blast.”
According to the description of the comics, the story will follow the iconic group of turtles running into the crew from the games. What follows is an instant clash between the two, who are eager to show off their combat and skills against one another.
