While select players had the chance to try out some of the Street Fighter 6 online modes last year thanks to two rounds of closed beta testing, no one was able to try out the game's offline and single-player modes. Among them, the most interesting is World Tour mode, which is setting out to be one of the most ambitious single-player modes for fighting games ever made.
In the Street Fighter V Climax Arts art book released recently in Japan, Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto commented on features and characters of the next entry in the series, as translated by Scotia. According to Takayuki Nakayama, the concept behind World Tour mode is to make fans fall in love with the Street Fighter universe even more. By playing this mode, newcomers will be able to learn not only about basic mechanics such as command inputs and how to play the game but also about characters' individual stories.

Interestingly enough, it seems like the Street Fighter 6 developer has post-launch plans for World Tour Mode, as Takayuki Nakayama stated that post-launch characters will also appear in the single-player mode so as to avoid a situation similar to the inclusion of Yun and Yang in Street Fighter IV where they were the only characters with arcade mode cutscenes. Additionally, completing World Tour will not be the end, as the developer has plans to add more things after release.
