An upcoming expansion pack for The Sims 4 is aiming to make your simulated family as complicated as your real one. The Growing Together DLC is adding family dynamics to the life-simulator on March 16. This means that you can establish specific interrelationships between your Simmish family. So, if you have always wanted to make your Sims father as distant as your real one, then this is for you.
A few screengrabs of the DLC’s official gameplay trailer have been posted to the official Reddit for the EA game. These offer a glimpse of the type of dynamics you can establish. One screengrab shows the Create-a-Sim menu for a new sister. The menu now includes a drop-down offering four options for their dynamic: Close, distant, difficult, and jokesters.

Just as with real family dynamics, the type of relationship between two Sims may change. This could be because of their interactions with one another, or any milestones achieved together. Sadly, no matter how many milestones I went through, like losing those baby teeth or learning to ride a bike, I could never get my siblings to really open-up to me and better our dynamics. Still, it’s nice that my Sims have hope for a better relationship with each other.
