Expansion Pack aims to add new depth to every life stage in the game, including the brand-new infants. This marks the second EP in a row to explore new facets of life stages in, following last summer's teen-centric. However, has a markedly larger scope than its DLC predecessor, which was outlined in a recent hands-off preview presentation led by Lead Designer Scott Dai, Lead Producer Graham Nardone, and Producer Morgan Henry.
This new DLC will synergize with the upcoming infants update, which will release just two days before, and this free content was covered first during the preview to give context as to what the Expansion Pack will be building off of. The new infant life stage will come soon after newborn, with young Sims receiving one of six new traits upon aging up. Create A Sim will feature a significant amount of infant clothing and optional skin details, and additional interactions with other DLC like and will be included. Sims can also now have a "" which does not require Woohoo.

Create A Sim in will offer even more options when it comes to customization, including new clothing for every life stage, and alongside birthmarks for infants, elders will now have access to age spots. However, perhaps the biggest additions to CAS have nothing to do with appearances — new likes and dislikes alongside the brand-new family dynamics mechanic will have a drastic impact on how Sims interact. Players will be able to select the dynamics between each member in a household: close, distant, difficult, or jokester, all of which have potential to be used narratively in different ways.
The new likes and dislikes consist of two important categories: characteristics and conversation topics.
