Though a third season hasn’t been officially ordered yet, Amazon has given a new for the Lord of the Rings streaming series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, showrunners Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne have begun breaking the initial narrative outline for a third season of The Rings of Power. Though Season 3 hasn’t been ordered yet, Season 2 is set to release this year after concluding its filming in 2023. The duo also signed a new three-year deal between their production company, 10:40 PM Productions, and Amazon MGM Studios

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 1 consisted of eight episodes available to stream on Prime Video. Season 2 of the series will also contain eight episodes and is expected to be released in 2024.
