The long-running RPG franchise is looking to revitalize itself with by offering outstanding graphics and epic combat sequences with powerful Kaiju-like Eikons. One big concern some prospective players are having, though, is that the game is not expected to be available anywhere other than for the PS5.

According to Square Enix, the PS5 is the only platform that is powerful enough to handle the massive battle scenes with the Eikons and cinematic cutscenes that the company wanted to provide. 's Eikons could be its best feature, and these fights are a major selling point for the game. In an interview with, producer Naoki Yoshida (commonly known as Yoshi-P) said, "" relies on the memory and transfer speed that the PS5 provides, and developers told that if it weren't for the console's capabilities, would still be in the depths of development.
