Over the last few weeks, we've seen some Diablo fans wondering how having multiple characters will work in Diablo 4. Because there's no story-skipping Adventure Mode (as there is in Diablo 3), does every character you make have to slog through the game's main story? We were asking this same question prior to our recent discussion with Blizzard developers.
During a presentation on Diablo 4's endgame structure, we were told that once you complete the campaign, you can skip straight past it with any additional characters that you decide to run. In doing so, you'll be able to jump directly into the open world with all of the endgame content in place. We're not quite sure how that's going to work in terms of level scaling and difficulty settings, but it's nice to know that you won't have to replay the campaign every time you want to try a new class.
