PlayStation’s marketing onslaught has been biblical in 2023 so far, and it’s resulted in the platform holder breaking all kinds of sales records all around the world. We’ll need to await Sony’s financial report in a few days, but it’s likely to have sold many millions of PS5 consoles these past three months, and we expect its install base to have aggressively shot up.
But just how crazy is its advertising getting? Well, in Portugal it’s started promoting the latest PS Store sale on ATM machines! We found this placement quite amusing, because people drawing out cash may be tempted to reinvest their hard-earned money into some PS Store credit to pick up a couple of discounted titles.
