Based on characters created by John le Carré, The Night Manager Season 2 will begin filming later this year and will follow Hiddleston’s Pine eight years after the Season 1 finale. Season 2 will go beyond le Carré’s original book.
It is unknown if any of Season 1’s stars, besides Hiddleston, will return for Season 2. Elizabeth Debicki is not expected to return as Jed Marshall. Hugh Laurie, who starred as Richard Roper, is back for Season 2 as an EP, but there is no word on whether he will act. Additional plot details are being kept under wraps.

The series follows Jonathan Pine, the night manager of a luxury hotel recruited by the Foreign Office task force to help investigate arms dealer Richard Roper.
