The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 is seeing the introduction of new superheroes, among those Kamala Khan, who will make her debut in the TV series Ms. Marvel before joining her favorite hero, Captain Marvel, in The Marvels, and the MCU has already teased why Captain Marvel recruited such a young hero. Phase 4 is doing things differently by covering movies and TV shows, with the latter connecting to the movies and introducing a variety of new characters, and the next one in line is Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) in Ms. Marvel.
Kamala Khan is Marvel’s first Muslim character to headline her own comic book and she’s a teenage Pakistani American from Jersey City, New Jersey, with shapeshifting abilities. Of course, the character has gone through big changes in the transition from the comic book pages to TV, and the biggest ones are the origins of her powers and how these are displayed, with these coming from a pair of bracelets. Ms. Marvel will explore the origins of Kamala’s superhero transformation and the struggles that come with such a big change in her life, and luckily for her, her future is already sealed as she will be back in The Marvels, sharing the screen with her favorite superhero, Carol Danvers (Brie Larson).
