A recent report is claiming that last week's alleged Silent Hill screenshot leaks have been pulled from a playable Silent Hills demo that is similar to P.T. Crafted by Metal Gear Solid creator and visionary filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, P.T. was a 2014 demo released for the PS4 that placed players in a haunting time loop and tasked them with solving a series of cryptic and bizarre puzzles. The demo turned out to be a creative way of announcing and promoting Silent Hills, which would have been developed by del Toro and Kojima and starred Norman Reedus.
Silent Hills was famously canceled following Kojima's highly publicized split with Konami, and the Silent Hill franchise has not seen a release since. However, there have been rumors about new Silent Hill content over the past few months, one of which being a possible remake of Silent Hill 2 from Bloober Team, the developers behind last year's game The Medium. Reports have also emerged that suggest a brand-new mainline entry in the franchise, something that has not happened since 2012. There have also been hints that an episodic Silent Hill game could be underway.

Naturally, many fans are most interested in the possibility of an all-new Silent Hill game, and it seems that this potential game could be getting a P.T.-style demo. According to Video Games Chronicle, these screenshots were pulled from such a demo, which was being referred to as "Sakura" internally. Sakura is allegedly being planned for a digital launch to promote the next Silent Hill game.
