Commander Greg leads the Volgus assault into Kingston, the first main combat zone of. Throughout the missions, Greg laughs maniacally and attempts to taunt the player. This may have been effective if Greg were not so laughable due to his name, dialogue, and mechanics.

Despite its grim setting, does not always shy away from using names that sound relatively normal. Intermixed with Descendants like Ajax and Jayber are names like Sharen, Blair, and even Bunny. While these names do not exactly strike fear into the hearts of humanity's enemies, they do not necessarily need to, since they belong to the faction that the player is aligned with. However, when it comes to the game's main enemies, Greg should not have been a name which made it to full release.
There are a multitude of characters in The First Descendant that players can unlock which allows them to find the right playstyle for them.
«Greg» sounds like a name someone came up with as a joke that made it too far into production, or at the very least, a placeholder name which was meant to be switched out later but never was. Variants of Greg could have been much more intimidating. Look no further than Grigori from the original for an example of a terrifying name which still boils down to «Greg.» However, even fixing the goofy name would not fix the bigger problem, which is the mechanics of Greg's boss fight.
