Content surrounding one of ' most iconic villains may be locked behind a paywall. The open-world game from Ubisoft's Massive Entertainment is set to see a new character, Kay Vess, explore the criminal underworld as she attempts to build her reputation and carry out the biggest heist the Outer Rim has ever seen.
To do this, Kay interacts with prominent figures in various criminal syndicates, such as the Pykes, Crimson Dawn, the Ashiga, and the Hutts. Several of these interactions were teased in the recent story trailer, with Kay seen meeting with Jabba the Hutt at one point as his guards position her over the Rancor pit from. Unfortunately, an update to the game's Season Pass on the Ubisoft website now suggests that not all players will be able to see every mission Jabba has to offer straight away.
According to the contents listing, the mission will be exclusive to the Season Pass at launch. The synopsis reads "". It's unclear whether this is merely one of many missions involving Jabba, or the one seen in the trailer, but regardless, it has proven to be an unpopular decision to lock it behind a further paywall.
