Knights Peak has signed an agreement with Saber Interactive‘s 3D Realms label to publish real-time strategy game Tempest Rising, the companies announced. It will be available for PC via Steam when it launches.
Tempest Rising was previously planned to be published by THQ Nordic. Both Saber Interactive and THQ Nordic were part of Embracer Group until March, when Saber Interactive along with 3D Realms and other subsidiaries split from the group.
“Teaming up with Knights Peak on Tempest Rising provides us a great opportunity to reach our ambitious goals for the game,” said Saber Interactive CEO and co-founder Matthew Karch in a press release. “Their vision aligns perfectly with ours, and we look forward to showcasing the game in new and exciting ways. We can’t wait for fans to experience what we believe is a true evolution of the real-time strategy genre.”
Knights Peak vice president of publishing Eugenio Vitale added, “We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey as publishing partner for Tempest Rising and collaborate with the talented team at Saber Interactive. Tempest Rising pays homage to the golden era of RTS games while delivering a thoroughly modernized experience that appeals to both veterans and new players alike. This collaboration underscores our commitment to bringing high-quality gaming experiences to our players. We’re proud to contribute to a project that bridges the past and the future of the real-time strategy genre.”
